Tinker Bell

Tinker bell flutters around like a fairy.
She has long blonde hair like Rapunzel that flows behind her. She loves green and would wear it all day and night until she fades away. Tinkerbell has little green feet  that twinkle like stars in the night after the sun has set. She is short and and fun and likes to dance all year long.
She's my favourite character!

War in Waihi

We want more money.  Because in the country other miners get paid more and we get paid less.

We want to work in better conditions and not in the lighting and rain.

We are expected to work all the time and really fast why can’t we work when we want and at our own speed.

This is ridiculous some of us are getting the miner's cough and almost dieing.

For this activity we had to read the story and then find the arguments through out the story

Rock Art

This week for my reading I had to read a story about some kids that got to go into a cave and they got to see a lot of rock art so for my activity I had to go onto kidpix and draw my own Maori rock art.

Me Just Me

Me Just Me!

I am someone who likes to ice-skate and play netball.

Every morning I wake up and my hair is as fuzzy as a grizzly bear.
I have two very lazy legs that follow me around in my shadow.
My face is as pink and fuzzy and likes to talk.
When I play the piano my fingers twinkle like stars dancing in the night.

I like being unique

Otama School!

Otama School!
Otama School has very dedicated kids that will be successful throughout their lives.

We are blessed to have two genuine delightful full time teachers.
We respect our values and each other.
Our playground and field is where all the excitement and friendship happens.
The people we have met the teachers we have had each and every one has inspired us to grow up just like them.

I think we are the best school in New Zealand.

Tsuru no Ongaeshi/The Grateful Crane

For this reading activity we had to read the book and come up with a new ending. The story was about an old couple that lives on the country side in Japan. One night a little girl came asked for some shelter and a place to sleep. She didn't really want to carry wood or help cook so she weaved for the old couple. Here is my ending.

Tsuru no Ongaeshi/The grateful crane

They wanted to they really did but they would break their promise so they didn't.

After a year they did not hear a sound. They put their feelings aside and opened the door. They did not see anyone. They looked around and the window was open.

They heard a knock at the door.  The old woman went and open the door to see the young woman standing there so cold. They asked what happened...

Beautiful Nature

Sitting there like a tropical pineapple as the trees breeze side to side.
Looking at the green grass shining bright in the sun.
Dreaming like an owl as the sun sets.
The leaves falling like rain.
The bench sitting there very very lonely.
As it stands strong through the weather.

Mud Football

Mud Mud Mud Dirty slimy mud. Breathing in the crisp air. Pushing people has hard as I can. It was the time of my life. “Laura heads!” I quickly screamed as I kicked the ball. The mud pulling me into the mud. Eden is in goal and the rest of us are in the mid field. “This out of the box game is crazy,” I say to Abbey. Everyone watching me. I turn around to see Tayla stuck in the mud! Holidays are so much fun. I can’t wait to come back and play again.
